Hi everybody, first post here
I have a Powermac G5 out of the country and won't have access to it till mid june. I need to buy some more RAM cards for it before I had there and since I can't check the specs I thought I would ask some opinions other than buying the wrong one.
I'm sure it's a Powermac G5 dual 2.0 and it has 8 slots for RAM.
I checked some specs on the net and it says 400 MHz PC3200 DDR SDRAM
Now, is the PC3200 DDR the only compatible RAM for me? I also hear the 533 MHZ PC4200 DDR2 SDRAM also fits a Dual G5 2.0, not sure it works on mine.
What's he difference bet DDR and DDR2?
Any tips on brands?
Many thanks
