Help with a lil problem please

Macbook Pro 2015 15", Powerbook G4 17" 2004
When i had my pc i used to connect to my friends server through network connections, and i want to do this again on my beautiful mac, but i have no clue, anyone point me in the right direction please?

Sure, from the Finder menu, click Go => Connect to Server => Click the Browse button to locate and connect to servers on the network.
