easy setup?

hi everybody
im going to be getting a macbook soon and im wondering if i need anyone(like geek squad) to help setup the computer for the first time

Nope. When you take it out the box you basically need to plug it in. OS X will already be installed along with some other bits and bobs - you're ready to go straight away. When I got mine I was happily online within minutes.

Yeah, OS X pretty much sets itself up. If by some chance you encounter problems, that's what we are here for, free of charge.

Just fire it up, make an account, point it to your wireless network, and bam, you're done.

I did my setup last night and it took me around 5-10min and was easy to do :)

geek squad will only try to steal your porn. If you get stuck setting it up, post here and simultaneously call Applecare. You got 90 days free phone support.

I have setup 2 mac's so far and had no trouble at all.

All you gotta do is, after you see the desktop for the first time, connect to the internet which is just as easy as the setup and do a software update by going to the apple icon on the top left corner and 'Software Update'

Thats it.

yeah, as far as I know, geek squad will charge you to install unnecessary software that will only slow down your computer, but that might only be with windows.
