I'd do me. Two days away!!! Ahhh... and I don't know how to dance, never danced before, and I'm going with a nice, beautiful looking girl. I'm ready for mass embarrassment! Awkward, here I come! I hate natural reactions. Haha... O man...

Haha... I don't drink. Nor does she. I am not even thinking about any intimate activities after. Nor do I plan on it until after marriage anyway, and she has the same ideas. So we are safe there. It will just be a fun, safe night!

She actually thinks I'm a professional dancer, its what I told her. I plan on surprising her. ;) heh, I'm kidding. She knows somewhat, but I'm a quick learner!

You should've gone for the full top hat and tails like I did for my senior prom.

I even had a pop-top top hat.

Ya know, the kind you can crush and flick open?

Anyway, lookin' sharp. Have fun!

You don't have to know how to dance to make a good impression on a girl. Whatever you do, do it with confidence. Girls will dig that as much as fancy dance moves; they love a guy with confidence. Plus if a girl thinks you're cute, she'll think even the goofiest dancing you do is cute too, as long as you do it with confidence.

Have fun and share all the interesting details when it's all over!

ARGH I don't know how to dance either.
I'm really not the whole dancing type of person, i'd rather sit there and talk, ya know?

I have 2 years to figure out, at the latest......

Our prom is today too. It's kinda nice having like every single junior and senior girls gone all day to do their hair.

Getting ready now... the excitement of the day! I woke up this morning thinking that I must still be dreaming it was today... haha. I still have about 2 hours before I have to leave though.. and I'm just doing nothing getting my tux on. Why does time go so slow, then so fast when you don't want it to.

How did it go? And what happened after the prom with him/her?

Well... I'm back and woke up now. Prom was a great time. I am glad I did it, and will be something I won't forget. Unfortunately life sucks and reality hit me hard last night that after 18 years of finally making good friends, in less than three weeks I will be gone and won't see any of them for a year. So, the great time was taunting me saying "you won't have this again". Time to start all over. Life sucks. /turnemo On top of that... I found out today my grandpa is in the hospital and in a lot of pain. I never lost anyone close to me yet so I'm scared I don't know how I will react if something turns out bad. I'm not ready for all this change... :\

I guess I forgot to say what we did...

We met at someone's house and took pictures and all that wonderful jazz. Then we went to the Grand March at the Landmark Center in downtown St Paul. Conveniently, there is a little park thing with a fountain we could hang out after to wait for dinner. We just chatted and hung out till around 5 30 and went to dinner at Pazzaluna which is like a 2 minute walk. After eating we went to the dance and danced a little bit, and just chilled for a little. We then went back to someone's house and hung out some more then watched a movie and fell asleep. Sounds pretty uneventful... but anything is fun with someone you care for. I just hope she had a good time. Sigh.......... time to sleep my week away before I die.

ogacon, you will always remember the good time you had that evening. And hopefully so will your date. Rather than dwell on the fact that you may not see these people for awhile, be happy you had such a good time with these people. Don't get down thinking now "life sucks" - Now is the time for you to think of all the endless possibilities in your future. Make the of best of every situation and you will have few regrets. I bet your grandpa would tell you the same.

Don't be down - train yourself to look for the good in all situations. As a poet once said: memories are so we can have June roses in December.

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means that you have learned to look beyond the imperfections.

You know...I'm not gonna lie, I felt something similar to what you are feeling before my high school graduation. Then I realized that graduation from high school isn't the end of anything, if anything it is the beginning of everything.

I assure you that you will keep in touch with the people you want to keep in touch with, and college starts what will be the best years of your life. So many opportunities and chances to meet new people that will be lifelong friends.
