Can't get Final Cut to Log and Capture...

Hello everyone.

I have a massive project due soon and I can't get Final Cut Pro 5.1 to recognize or Log and Capture any of my video footage from my Sony DCR-TRV25 Mini DV Handycam.

When I go to File, then Log and Capture, a message pops up saying "Initializing Device Control..." But then another message pops up saying "Unable to initialize video deck. You may still log offline clips or use Capture Now."

As far as I can tell, my G5 won't even recognize the camera's existence. I just installed OSX Leopard last night, so I don't know if that might have something to do with the problem. Also, my copy of Final Cut is a spare my roommate got from his company (he did not pirate it, they gave it to him for personal use).

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you!
