networking between mac and pc

Hi
with a router, is it possible to transfert data from pc to mac? or I have to set up something else?

iMac Core i5(3.6 GHz) 8 GB RAM, MBP C2Duo(2.4 GHz) 4 GB RAM, MB C2Duo(2.4 GHz) 2 GB RAM
it should be possible, I know on Tiger I was able to see my mac from xp when they were on the same wireless network. I'm not sure how it would work with leopard and vista though... I use a HD connected to my airport express station, and I installed airport disk utility for windows on my windows pc, that way both computers can read and write to the HD even though its in HFS+ That system works best for me.
