Awesome. There should be software, that when activated takes pictures (secretly) of movement and sends them to an email address. Kind of how iAlertU snaps a picture if the computer is disturbed.

love the idea and praise Apple for doing what they are but the problem I have with it is the payment apple gets every month to be a member to use the technology. I could be wrong but you cant just use it if you just own a mac.

I read about that story on Engadget. That's why I wouldn't ever toss a party. All my friends like to steal stuff. It's only like cups and christmas lights and alcohol but never anything worth more than a few $$. I'd hate to have a laptop go missing. Cool read though.

Yes, friends. My two good friends in college always stole stuff at parties. It was their trademark I guess.

Time to get new friends.

Could you have a trademark of punching them in the face when they engaged in their trademark?

I go to parties, never host them though.

Even more reason not to now.

lol, they were fun. You have to admit, it's kinda funny to watch someone stuff a set of rope lights down their pants.

Thanks Noels.

Exactly like Undercover....:D

Do you have to pay a monthly/yearly fee for that? That seems good. It ether gets your Mac back, or its like you never paid for the software in the first place.

[Edit] I guess you dont. Really something to consider. And they claim a 96% recovery rate. Believable?

Undercover is a one time fee for the software, no monthly or yearly subscription fees.
And there's a student discount
