ExpressCard Slot

Just inherited a MacBook Pro and have a lot to learn. What devices or uses are there for the ExpressCard slot on the side of the computer. Thanks in advance.

You can use the slot for various reasons:

-Card to use wireless internet through your cell phone provider (Alltel, Verizon, etc)

-Add more video ports to add more monitors, etc.

-Add more Firewire ports

The list just goes on and on...

You can use the express slot to use more monitors? does this mean that I can run two external monitors off my macbook pro instead of one?

Could you link me to an express card slot that will do this?

Since your MacBook does not contain an Express Card you would have this option instead:
