One of my teeth was broken and badly infected so I had to get a root canal. Amazingly enough the dentist was awesome and I didnt feel a thing. despite the fact there was smoke comming out of my mouth :|

Today I got a post put in and a temporary crown for it. I will be glad when this is all over with. I was not so lucky this time and she got me a few times. hurt like something fierce.

may all your teeth be healthy

Way... way too many specs to list.
Hopefully that'll be it. I've had one that needed reworking again (I had broken that tooth too).

Just wait till you guys get older. Have had seven of the rotters and wish, at times, had false teeth. The process is not cheap either is it?

I can relate.. My bottom-left wisdom tooth is one angry mother-"insert your fave dirty word here".. THe top-left one came in, is a bit off, but is fine and doesn't hurt.. The two on the right side are not bothering me at all..

The one in the bottom-left causes migraines, severe ear/jaw pain, and there is quite a bit of swelling... Sadly.. My health insurance doesn't cover extraction, and it's about $200/tooth..

So I think I'm going to wait till it gets bad to the point where the hospital cannot refuse me, and get them to take it out. Either that, or tell them I'm asthmatic, and smoke a pack of cigarettes before I go in and see them, tha way my insurance will cover it, seeing as they cannot legally put you under if you're asthmatic.

buh!

You have a long road ahead of you. I got a few root canals. All of them were caught before it got real bad so there was no pain whatsoever.

my teeth are in bad shape. insurance as you guessed pays for hardly anything at all. to top it off they want the money the same day. Right after the procedure. they dont send you a bill. Had they been in the back I would have just pulled them but its my front teeth so I cant.

Be very, very careful taking risks like that. The decaying root material can cause an infection and lead to an abscess which can even be fatal, especially if you have diabetes,

I had a root canal done 2 years ago and it was agony! It took an hour aswell so my jaw hurt a lot after being wedged open for that length of time. I thought all was well afterwards however the root canal after 1 year FAILED! I went back to the dentist and he said i coudl get another root canal like before but with no assurance it would work for £150 or i could get the tooth out for £14. Needless to say i got it out, after three or 4 days of pain it was well worth it.

I've had a few holes filled but nothing major... I hope it stays that way!
