or concerned? Or am I making something out of nothing?
Or former soviet block countries in eastern europe.Where else would it be made? All electronics are manufactured in Asia now.

The Dells I've opened recently all say China on EVERYTHING inside. Even if it's "assembled" in the US, it isn't made here. All laptops sold in the USA come from China (possibly Taiwan, but I don't think so) these days, except for a handful of Lenovo ThinkPads, which will be soon. (Lenovo is Chinese, after all.) Apple has not built a notebook Stateside in about a decade.
Some desktops (Most Dell desktops sold in the USA, and I believe the Mac Pros sold in the USA) are assembled in the US. The components, of course, come from Asia.
Any increase in the defect rate was more than made up by the decrease in cost.
People like to blame the cheapness of things on the foreigners who make it, but you have to remember that they're only making the products according to the specs they're given by the company contracting them for the manufacturing work. Apple computers are well-built because Apple designs them well with quality parts and materials.
Only if your concerned with the 100+ other products in your house likely made in China.

I'm not trying to sound angry. I'm just trying to shed a different light on the situation.
Look at the bright side: if you get mad at it for being slow you an always shout at it "Get the lead out!!!"
