• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

i have a Black MacBook, Processor 2 GHz Intel Core Duo with 2 GBs of DDR2 ram but i cannot watch the 1080p trailers on apples website without extreme stuttering. is it possible my ram is not working properly. from what i've read, i should be able to do this with no problems. i've even tried restarting and having no applications open but no luck. can anyone help?

There probably isn't anything wrong with the machine at all. Those trailers do need to load up and stream into your player, though.
That is likely where the 'stuttering' is, in the loading and the actual connection to the server.

i always wait until it's done loading before i try to play it. 720p works fine. but i just really wanna see how 1080p looks on my HDTV. my sister has a MacBook with only 1GB of ram and she says they play flawlessly on hers. that's what made me think maybe something is wrong with my hardware
