Can someone please tell me the order from oldest to newest of mac OS's?

I mean like....there called Panther, tiger etc,

I want to know the order with the name.

Wow that helped alot. Just wondering because im looking to buy a mac but not a new one and not too old. Didn't want one with a OS too out of date.

If you are going to buy a used system, I'd say don't buy anything with the OS older than 10.2, but preferably you'd want at least 10.4 as much of the current software may require it. Some software companies are even going to demand 10.5 as the minimum OS. The logic is that people who buy software also buy into the latest OS release.
