I took the plunge

I went and bought a Macbook today (used)
2.0Ghz
512RAM
60GB HDD
superdrive
Mint condition I would rate it 10 out of 10
Built in iSight.
It also came with 14months of apple care included plus all original software packaging....etc

Paid $700.00 Do you think this was good deal? It was an impulse buy and I couldn't wait, I sold my Powerbook for $650

it seems to run a little slow is that because of the 512RAM?
Should I go and buy 2GB of RAM ,will this help?

All in all I love this computer.

Anyway I'm just looking for pointers ,ideas, do' and don't' .....etc

the price isn't bad BUT the specs are ancient. if you bought it off the Aplle site then they ripped you off because they only gave you a 512 Ram with a 60 GB HD????? i have a powerbook G4 with that same exact specs and it IS slow as . and it's 2008, most notebooks are coming pre-installed with 1GB or better ram's. like i said the price good, specs were bad. but enjoy homie

I plan on maxing out the Ram. But Macbooks are going for $800 and up on Ebay.

I would take the money you saved and upgrade the hard drive and RAM immediately. You can get the specs up for around $200 and not have to touch it again for a couple years.

I plan on it. I'm really impressed with this macbook...

Is it possible to upgrade to more than 2GB RAM in my Macbook (MA255LL/A)
if so would this void my warranty?
