How would you like to plan a nice island beach getaway, only to have this be your beach to relax on?

I found this while looking up random airplane videos. You probably don't have to watch the whole video, but notice the sign in the foreground when the first plane takes off. Boy, that makes the beach look very inviting!

Here's another one at the same beach. I realize that low flyovers are normal at this beach, but this one is way, way too close!

Good Pilot. I would hate to be in my car and get side swiped by a plane though

The worst public beach I have ever been to was in San Diego. It used to have Military buildings on it. When they tore them down they left behind all the nails.

I could tolerate that and think it was neat for about 2 hours, then I'd demand to move to a different beach.

I'm surprised to see that St. Maarten has the passenger volume to justify flying 747s in. I've been there once via ship, and I would never expect to see a plane that big landing on a relatively small island. Can they fill planes that big on a regular basis?

That 747 is what we "old pilots" call "dragging it in." He wanted the end of the runway, lucky he didn't get the beach...

...or the people, or the cars, or the barb wire fence... :)

I haven't found any news on accidents resulting from the layout, so except for that one 747, it must not be too challenging.
