iWhat and I have just returned from a weekend in Dayton, Ohio where we attended the 2008 iNET Interactive Community Leadership Conference.

For those of you who aren't aware, iNET is the parent company of Mac-Forums.com and operates some of the most prominent online communities for technology professionals and enthusiasts.

We spent the weekend listening to guest lecturers and fellow mods and admins from our sister communities give presentations on how to create an outstanding experience for our members. Lots of very cool ideas came out of the event.

If you're, interested, here's the agenda:
http://www.inetinteractive.com/community-leadership-conference/

We'll slowly be implementing some changes in both process and forum features to help improve your experience here at Mac-Forums. As we roll out these changes, we absolutely welcome your honest feedback.

I can say there are some pretty exciting changes coming that you'll all enjoy. In the meantime, feel free to keep dropping your suggestions in the Suggestions/Comments forum. Thanks!

First suggestion, make this change go a little quicker. :p

Thanks for the dedication Schweb. That's cool that you're going to these events and making this site more fun for the rest of us.

We're going as quickly as we can :)

iNET truly has a stake in wanting to make this and the rest of our sister forums be best-in-class. The guys down in Dayton really put on a great conference.

Only good things to come!

Very cool. Are you able to share anything about what changes we might expect, or is it to be a surprise?

Sounds great like I said in IRC. I can't wait for all the changes. Sounds like iWhat and you had a great time there at the conference.

Keep us posted!

Schweb and I are very excited about the changes that will be made over time. I honestly can't wait to see how you guys will take advantage of the new features coming about. iNET sees M-F as a fast growing community with lots of potential that needs to be tapped into, so among the other communities, we'll be at the front of the line as these changes are made.

It's bringing about a couple more elements that you'd not be use to, compared to other forums you'd visit. Schweb's a tease.

They shared a little in the IRC chat, where were you?

It's all a surprise and iWhat actually sounded serious when he said it's something we'll love and want to use.

I can't wait!

That cookie monster isn't yours? :p
Put them in a playpen and they'll be good for a few hours. :)

I forgot, you are responsible. One cat is too much for me.
