Buying Mac Pro- Which Graphics Card?

Tuesday I will be purchasing a New Mac Pro. I will be using Final cut express and eventually moving up to final cut Studio. This machine will be used for video editing (HD) and photo's. Which is the best card to use? The choises are as follows: 1) NvidiaGeForce 8800 GT 512MB or the 2) ATI Radeon HD2600 XT 256MB card.
Should I double up on the ATI cards b/c it will give me 512 MB VRAM as oppese to 256MB of VRAM?
Will these appiclactions mentioned above work flawlessly with the ATI card? Its only $150.00 dollar diffference. Not a big deal. But I have read that the Nvidia card has given some people problems with their Macs. I'm not sure if they corrected the problem.

The 8800 GT is 2.5x faster than the HD 2600 XT.
Adding two cards would only be beneficial if you ran more than two monitors.

Can you be more specific about the NVIDIA issues people are having? Maybe we can figure out what the issue is and if it's anything to worry about. I ask because a few of us here have the 8800 GT upgrade and I haven't heard of any problems. Mine's worked great.

I have the 8800 GT and have no problems yet. Granted its only been a week, but I love my new mac pro.
