Raring/Zipping up files on a Mac

Unpackaging and unzipping files is no problem, But how do I do it the other way and actually package files up? I would preffrably like to packege them together as a RAR file. The files will be unzipped and read on a windows computer.

Zipping works just as well. Just highlight the file in the Finder and either right-click or go to the menu bar File and select Compress. That'll zip it.
