You know why it got so popular so fast? Because it's one of the lamest songs that people secretly love. I think it was one of those VH1 "most awesome bad songs" or something like that. I wonder if the song made some sales from all of this. Old Rick can pay his rent this month now

This song was really popular back in the late 80's even here in the states. I think he was kind of a one-hit wonder here though. I was only 8 or 10 at the time, but I remember the song distinctly from when it was popular and 80's radio stations that continue to play it.

Yep, it was a one hit wonder over here as well, Rick was a good singer, but I guess he had a bad agent who managed to turn success in to failure
