Ubuntu server for time machine?

So,

I have an Unbuntu server with about 2 TB of storage capacity on my home network. My MBP is also on my home network (what a surprise!) How can I:

1) Create an appropriate share on the Ubuntu server
2) Tell my MBP to use this share for Time Machine?

1) Avahi and netatalk. Very simple to set up.

2) You should just be able to point time machine to it in the system pane after you mount your drive.
