Lately my Dashboard has been loading up really slow (just now it took like 20 seconds to load my widgets, like weather, iStat nano), and I've also noticed that my computer is slower with other applications too. It's a last generation PowerBook G4 12" 1.5GHz 512MB so. Any suggestions about what I can do to to somehow get some performance back? Don't really want to buy any more RAM for it, but it may come to that.

Try running some maintenance utilities. Onyx and Main Menu are a couple freebies that most of us use. Run through the full set of utilities, especially the cache cleaners. Let us know if that makes a difference.
