Hi,
Can anyone please tell me which is better UNIX or Mac OS X Journaled when i restore my Mac. I have no idea what the difference is so i was wondering if there IS a difference at all, and if there is which is better.
I also have a question: What is Crons and what is MacJanitor and are these programs obligatory, or how do they work and what for?
Thanks

Mac OS X is based on Nextsep, a form of FreeBSD (Unix) Macjanitor runs crons through GUI, but crons can be run: Finder, Applications. Utilities Terminal type (switching to root - superuser) sudo sh /etc/daily > this needs to be done /weekly (instead of daily) and monthly. again with all apps closed. :alien:

Mac OSX Journaled is better.

As for crons, they're not obligatory and if you leave your Mac on ever overnight, they'll be run automatically by the OS.
