Any Comcast Guys using McAfee on Macs?

I switched about 2 months ago and I haven't bothered to install the free comcast security suite and I was just wondering if anyone else has? I haven't installed a windows partition and don't really know if I will. For the moment I will keep my shuttle desktop going. I'm so entrenched in Corel and Visio that I don't know if I can (or want) to learn new programs that are similar on the mac.

But I was curious about McAfee.

I would assume the McAfee software that's free with Comcast is for Windows only, right? My parents have PC and they used the free virus protection that came with their Comcast service. It was ok.

Personally, I've never run virus software on any of my Macs. Risky? Sure, but I've not been bitten yet

But if you must, go for the free ClamXAV...

You don't need any virus protection on the OS X partition. Simple.

You do need virus protection on the Windows partition. I recommend AVG Free - it's simple and non obtrusive (for a Windows program)

I would also recommend AVG for the Windows Partition... I used to work for a company who did Comcast's phone tech support and it was crazy how many calls we would get about Mcafee and how bad it sucked.

I'd stay away from Mcafee...

The Comcast/McAfee suite is Windows-only.

Well... until I decide that I have to have a Windows partition, I think I'll take a pass on AV software.
