Creating Movie on Mac...Burning on PC

Alright, I know this is gonna be way too complicated for what it is worth, but here it goes anyways.

I am editing some home video on my girlfriends macbook on iMovieHD, but her macbook doesnt have a DVD burner. My PC on the other hand does. What kind of file do I have to convert to so I can transfer over to my PC to burn onto a DVD.

-Or-

Can the movie be burnt onto a regular CD to be played on a set top DVD player without dramatically reducing the quality of the movie??

I appreciate the help!!

You can export from iMovieHD to iDVD.

Make any menu changes etc in iDVD then export to disc image.

Once done load up the disc image. It will contain VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders (from memory). Copy these folders to the PC and burn to disc with whatever software you have available (Nero, Roxio, even XP or vista build in folder burning will do).

I guess the hardest bit is copying the potentially 4.5gb folders over to the PC. Presumable you have a network connection, external hard disk, big pen drive etc?
