Looking for Mac... What to buy...

MBP 13" i7, 8GB RAM, 500GB HD
I'm looking to buy a laptop and was just confused in what I should buy. I want to spend $1k to $1,200.... I was looking at either used MacBook Pro's or refurbised MacBooks at Apple...


I've been in IT for 10 years and have been a PC man the whole time. So I know it but I'm new to mac's.... any help would be great...

 15" 2.4 MBP  iPod Classic 80 GB, Silver
What are you planning on doing?

Web browsing, and basic stuff, coding whatever: MB would work just fine (same specs as MBP with no vid card,and slightly smaller HDD)

Anything gaming at all, MBP is what you want.

I don't game much with my current PC, just old COD2. Mainly it would be for Web, Itunes, and a little bit of coding...

My only real wonder is should I go for a used MBP or just go for the New (refurbished) MB.
