Good ideas, but completely useless:

- A solar-powered flashlight.
- A submarine with screen doors.

What else?

(The idea is to make something almost useful, but with a small problem, like for example, you can't have a submarine with screen doors, because water would get in, and you can't have a solar-powered flashlight because where there is solar power, you don't need a flashlight!)

Enjoy!

Anti-virus software for Mac.
HAHA.
Anyone even have that?

...yeah. I run ClamXAV just to be safe.

(Not to derail the thread, but you would be wise not to be cocky about the Mac platform being unable to get viruses. The reason it's immune is because there isn't enough user base for it to be a serious target for hackers, so no viruses have been made yet. When someone does, not only will 90% of Mac users be running around like chickens with their heads cut off, but there also goes a major selling point for Macs. Not to mention, imagine how the BSD community would react. It would be insanity, but I digress.)

Non-Alcoholic Beer.

Disagree. It is very useful when you like beer but can't drink it as you have to drive your car... :)
But I have nice joke about n/a beer that proves your statement: "Non-alcoholic beer is the first step to air (rubber) girl!" ;D
Well, useless invention from me: Concorde Plane.

but brail on drive up ATMs... ***?
?
They're the same ATMs as the walk-up ones, just mounted in drive-up enclosures.

A really useless invention would be "Special ATM with the braille dots removed for drive-up mounting."

I'm getting a Pearl as soon as I sell my x360.

Which is among the more difficult things to sell. I tried and gave up.

You can't get more than $150 for the console by itself.

Wii's on the otherhand... I wanted to sell mine, put it up on craigs list for $400 with 3 games and 2 remotes, within 15 minutes someone text/called/emailed me just to make sure they were first to respond and get it ;) I know if I waited I coulda gotten more... but it was around Christmas and I'm a nice guy! Which I know means I coulda made even more... sigh. Oh well, woulda went to wasted cookies or dumb movies or something.

The Wii moves because you can't find it anywhere, even two years after launch.

I'm quite suspicious that Nintendo is faking shortages in order to increase demand.

LaserDisc. Our school bought several of the LD players in the early 80's. They're all in storage because no one uses them and they can't even give them away.

I will gladly take them off the school's hands. I love LaserDisc.
