• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi all,

This may be a stupid question on my part. Im doing a video project in FCP. It is in the 16:9 aspect ratio. There is a point when i am putting in still images. When i want to zoom and pan on them (ken Burns) the whole image blows up outside of the letterboxed image the video plays in. is this normal. am i missing a setting? I seem to remember when i used premiere the image would zoom in inside the letterboxed image. FYI, i have all my images sized to 1920x1080 which matches the video size perfectly before i try to zoom in on the images. any advice would be great.

thanks everyone,
Steve

All I can do is suggest this article for the second time in a week; How to do a Pan and Scan in FCP.

I'm no expert and your description is off for me, but it sounds like you have zoomed the image without start and end keyframes.
