• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi,

I need help!

I have a MACbook Pro, and I have created a movie in I Movie from the following sources:

1) 1 X Still image
2) I Movie "Cube" transition
3) 15 sec. QuickTime Movie (Codecs: Animation, Integer (Big Endian)

When I export it into a QT file and try to watch it on the QT Player, I can see the still image and the transition but not the video (although I can hear the sound of the video).

If you could please help find what is the problem, I would really appreciated it...

Thank you

You need to tell people what version of iMovie you are using. Maybe that will trigger someones memory that can help you.

Second question; Does it play fine in iMovie?

I don't know. Have you tried exporting to different codecs, such as H.264, or Apple Intermediate Code to see if that affects the result?

It sounds like an odd issue that may require experiment or starting from scratch and testing each part.
