My only issue with it is that I do need to run Windows for a business application that doesn't have a Mac even-near-equivalent. So if they go that way, I'll end up with an elcheapo Win machine and have to see about how to get my Parallels image over to it intact. Also can't use Win10, just Win7, so it will be an adventure. Maybe I'll just close the business if it's too much hassle. But if Apple plays it straight, they could let Parallels and VMWare work on a virtual environment where the Windows still sees X86 architecture, but it gets translated to whatever Apple uses. Will be much slower because of that extra translation, but could be made to work if Parallels and VMWare want to do it and Apple cooperates.
I don't want to run my iOS apps on my Mac, so the upside is zero. But they (Apple) will do whatever they want and then we all get to decide. I'm not getting lathered up about it at this point. 2020 is a looooong way off.
