That would be cool if it was some sort of metallic finish and not polycarbonate like the MacBooks.

Oh? This is news to me. I kinda liked the BlackBook from a few years ago. Now we get an anodized aluminum BlackBook Air? :D

ROFL. Maybe we'll see all those pretty colors like Sony offers in their Vaio line of notebooks.... ;P

Too many...
I prefer gun-metal to black. Black gets dirty too easily, and requires too much pigmentation when anodizing...which will eventually lead to discoloration. Would look cool though!

I kind of like it. If I make a slight career tweak - I may consider getting one of these. :)

What kind of career requires a black laptop? Are you thinking of becoming an IRS auditor?

Yeah, I like it too. Now just stuff the 11" with a 256GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and an okay processor and I'm sold. I'm not kidding about the 8GB: I was just forced to downgrade a PC to 1GB because of a faulty memory stick and it was no fun. If I want to use that MBA for a few years, 8GB will not be a luxury. 256GB is the minimum to manage my photo collection locally.

Oh, and finally, I'd love Apple to put in a better screen. The MBA 13" screen compared to an MBP 13" seems like mono AM compared to stereo FM (for those amongst you with synasthaesia).

Are you referring to the latest MBA 13" model or the older one? The latest MBA sports a bright glossy 1440 x 900 13" screen. To me, comparing both the MBA 13" and MBP 13" side by side at Best Buy, I can't tell the difference. No question the MBP 13" machine is a better machine.

I don't want Apple to smell like government. >_<"

I have to see if first before I pass judgement.
