Hi,
I've got a 500GB USB drive that isn't recognized by my 2nd Gen Macbook Pro (OS X 10.4.11). The device doesn't come up in Disk Utility, and doesn't even work in Linux. On 3 different PC's though I can read and write to the drive just fine. I've tried both USB ports and different cables but it's still not recognized.
EDIT: One of the partitions on the USB drive is recognized when I plugged in a USB thumb-drive. The 500GB USB drive appears even though it's not plugged in.
