Apple Camera for PowerPC users??

I have to say, I am highly dissapointed in Apple's discontinuation of the iSight, external camera. This negates all those who have either a PowerPC computer, or who use the MacPro monitors. For some reason, people are all of the sudden willing to pay 300 dollars for them on eBay, when, as a student, I could have gotten it for 130 dollars?! Is this the end of Apple making external cameras? Are we forced to upgrade immediately to have Apple's cameras? Thoughts?

Maybe you can buy a different camera for $20 and get macam (drivers)...

Does anyone know if there is another site or place that I can get a good deal on an iSight camera, other than eBay? I just do not think that I am willing to pay anywhere near 300 dollars. Do you think that my built in mic will be suffecient for use with another camera? That was one of the pluses that I liked so much about the iSight. The built in microphone was above par.
