greetings mac users

Has anyone found an alternative to the 8 small pentalobe screws that keep a macbook air secure?
I'm looking for a philips head and silver, but black would do the trick. the Longer ones seem to be working.
i am on my 4th set of internets replacement screws and they are popping out like acne on a teenagers face during pizza day at school.

thank you

Check on eBay. Lots of screw sets available for various Mac models. Pentalobe screws are not common and are difficult to find the exact size you need for your MacBook Air. Also, make sure you have the correct Pentalobe driver to use. The ifixit web site sells Pentalobe sets and so does Mac Sales. Apple Mac Upgrades - RAM, SSD Flash, External Drives and More

Honestly, don't do phillips heads. If the heads strip, and they are prone to stripping, you will be in a pickle. You can get a kit of screws that are correct for your model from iFixIt.

I do have one concern right now, and that is the fact that what you have now are popping out. If you've been using 3rd party screws with the wrong thread pattern, you may have irreparably damages the threads.

the threads are fine, the 4th set of small screws are not, even the original ones seemed weak.
thanks for your concern tho.

The screws that iFixIt sells have Loctite applied to their tips in the photos. Maybe that’s all you need to do with what you have now.
