I have a Mid-2014 MacBook Pro (2.6 ghz - i5 processor and 8 GB memory) with a 128gb SSD and am looking to upgrade it to a larger capacity SSD. Looking for something that will give me enough space to partition drive and run Bootcamp as I have some programs I use that are Windows only. They include some accounting and tax software programs. Looking at info online it seems this type of upgrade is possible. Has anyone done this with this model? Any suggestion on size and model of SSD to use? Thanks.

OWC has SSDs and instructions on how to do it.

OWC is great and price-effective. Amazon is over charging for ssd by $100 OR MORE, so be careful.
I might upgrade my SSD next year and will use OWC, i have external hds from them in 2009 that worked today.
just use time machine before upgrading unless you want to restart a fresh install
Hopefully these new OSXs have Migration where apps on a time machine back up can transfer to the new drive easily.
this task is kinda easy and fun! just cover your screen with a lint free cloth.
