Hey everyone, I just got a new to me, mid-2010 13" MacBook Pro! Also have a Mid-2010 Mac mini on the way (same specs). I just found a good deal on the 2 of them, and the MBP is in great shape, like literally looks new. Popped in an SSD and an additional 8GB of ram, did a clean install of High Sierra and it runs great!. (Have the same regimen ready for the Mini when it arrives) Had a Mid-2012 13" MBP with an i7 a few years ago but sold it for a gaming laptop. (This one is noticeably slower than my old 2012 one...duh ) Couldn't pass up the deal for $130 on this one, even though it can't run Mojave or Windows 10, it can still run slightly older versions of xCode so I can learn that and I can still use it to do other things on, like learning HTML, Python and the like. All that, along with also having the integration of iMessage and FaceTime. It also runs YouTube rather well which I was not wholeheartedly expecting. I wanted to buy a new "cheap" laptop to bring on trips and stuff but saw this for a similar price as those garbage $150 11" Celeron Windows 10 S abominations, and was like that is MUCH better in terms of build quality/longevity and probably even performance(maybe depending on support) lol. This thing even has a brand new Apple battery with 5 cycle counts! Even if the software support quickly concludes, it was still worth it to me to get it for that price even if I only get 1-2 years of usefulness out of it. Just wanted to share that I am happy to be back in the Mac community, if even for a short while with these new little old additions. Thanks!
