My macbook pro 2018 15' has this very annoying problem with the keyboard: sometimes, when i press a key, the letter appears two times. It happens randomly with a lot of letters, not just one. I never had a similar problem like this before i got this laptop. I do a lot of writing, it's what i do for a living, and it's very annoying.

Please help. Any suggestion is very much welcomed.

Thank you.

Welcome to our forums.

The latest MacBook Pro machines have the newer "butterfly" keyboards with protective membrane to keep dust and dirt out. It may take getting some used to in order to type on it especially if you're used to the older style keyboards. Try opening System Preferences, Keyboard, and adjust the keyboard repeat and delay to see if that helps.

The 2016 and 2017 models have a known issue with keys registering double presses (or missing them completely). Apple is replacing these top cases free. My 2016 is overdue for the B key. We've had several at work get done. I'm not particularly aware of the 2018's having this issue, but it might be wise to take it to Apple or a nearby Apple-certified repair place and get it checked out.

Tried, didn't work :(

I got used to the keyboard, no problem, I actually like how it feels, but this double lettering thing kills me.

Then it's time to take your new 2018 MacBook Pro to Apple and have them check out the keyboard. Be sure to make a genius bar appointment first.
