Hi All - I alternately use 2 laptops, an older MBPro (2013) & a newer MBAir (2015), the latter my 'travel computer' - the Air has been updated to Mojave 14.1 - the machine is usually closed in sleep mode on battery when I'm home - w/i a few days, the battery percentage drops into the low 80% range; today after about 8 days or so in 'sleep battery mode', the level was down to 68% - my settings in System Preferences are shown in the pic below - now, I don't believe this was occurring when the Air was installed w/ High Sierra, nor does my MBPro behave the same.

Now, I've not tried a SMC and/or PRAM reset yet; the battery shows 100% health (21 cycles) using Coconut Battery - would appreciate any thoughts or potential solutions - thanks, as always. Dave :)

You have power nap enabled and dropping about 20% after about 8 days is not unreasonable. When the machine is in sleep mode, the CPU goes into its lowest energy state, but it isn't off. A lot of the other components (LCD/Backlight especially) are turned off and thus the battery drain isn't significantly higher.

Hi Ashwin - thanks for your reply - the drops to 80+% occur w/i only several days, but after 8 days or so, the drainage was down to 68% - this never occurred when the MBAir was on High Sierra - there has been a dramatic change - plus, this appears to be a common observation - there is a long ongoing thread HERE in the Apple Communities w/ similar complaints; plus, my MBPro in sleep mode will go several days w/o losing much if any battery power. P.S. no great solutions in that linked thread; apparently an SMC reset has not been helpful. Dave
