Now if I can only get Snow Leopard to work on this 2011?
Probably won't install, since the motherboard, in those MBA's were never made to work with Snow Leopard.

I fear your comments may just be ignored Bob especially when I read a comment that was made:
well I'll be CCC cloning from the internal SSD (with adapter) to an external SSD (with adapter) but I'm glad that I've finally created a large thread that has legs :D[/QUOTE]

But stay tuned, I'm sure there will be an update to follow I. :Smirk:

Yes I read #21 and the whole thread, but I've read alot of bad reviews on OWC drives and their failure rates and controllers, enough to push me away from them and go towards four Samsung VNAND's or the one WD NAND that I just bought. Yeah the Snow Leopard won't boot on the MBA as I hoped so I'm forced to go a Mountain Lion or Yosemite route.

Too many...
I seriously am starting to think this thread was a joke.

To the original OP, if you are blatantly going to disregard the advice of reputable members on this forum, don't be surprised if no one comes to your help next time.

While no one forces you to do anything on here, don't ask for help regarding your Apple computer, disregard that info base on random info/judgement from other Windows PC sources, and come back regurgitating the same problem!

That WD drive you stated has a 25% WORSE life span than the comparable OWC. If you were competent enough to do 2 seconds worth of your own research, you would find this out!!

I hate ignorance more than anything!

Peace!

**** ...why all that hate iggi  do I say these kinds of derogatory words towards your replies! The thread wasn't a joke, I can upload my receipts for the SSD and adapters that I bought if you want to see the proof that I bought them which would make this thread pertinent.

I ask for advice on forums yes, but it is my choice whether I heed that advice or not. After all it still is a free world here in the west... still, so far. I do not want to buy a $400 OWC SSD even if many people say to buy it. I think it's a waste of money, and I know I can buy a better product at a cheaper cost which Samsung, Crucial and even the WD that I think is as well.

So just because you or someone else prefers OWC that doesn't mean that everyone else has to as well. Compare it to that if everyone in Cleveland likes Drew Carey, then how come most other cities don't. It is a free country and people can differ if they want to, and barring someone on having their own opinion is what most level-headed people would call "ignorance" hah :p

Thanks Charlie, but actually I forgot to add a smirking smiley icon at the end of my question. Sort of a side-track I guess. Smirk :)

yes thank you, I'm a big fan of Samsung SSD's and their invented v-NAND technology. I bought only those since they came out a few years ago and have 4 of them now in my MBP's and Mac Minis until I bought the WD a few weeks ago and then gotten condemned for it :\
