can the memory be upgraded?

MacBook Pro mid 2012 I was always under the impression the memory wasn't able to be upgraded but here it says yes. I don't know what the first line means: ECC
This is a non Retina Display model.

Thanks for the quick response and the link. I've done business with Other World Computing before and had a good experience both times. I'll order two 8GB now.

don't worry about ECC ram its disabled as its not used on the MacBook Pro.


just get the ram thats recommended for your model and u will be well and truly at 16B ram.
