Was digging through a bunch of old receipts and found one for my 2011 Mac Book Pro. it cost me in 2011 $1,425 US dollars before tax's.

Today i looked at a new one with a price of $1,699 before tax's, noticed how much hardware has been removed from my old 2011 MBP.

And to think a while back when after one of Apples OS upgrades, it became so slow in booting up and just dragged along while trying to reach web sites, i almost took it outside and threw it into the street.

Well after two reinstalls of their OS upgrade it started booting up fairly quick, and is pretty fast in getting web pages loaded.

I have bad mouthed my old 2011 MBP many times in these forums, and i now am beginning to regret it i am going to start again using it and understand it might be outdated by the new Apple MBPs but there still a lot of useful life still in it.

As long as you're happy with it and it still provides you with useful computing, why not use it? Hey, I'm still driving my 1998 Mustang..... ;D

And I still use my LC Original with OS 7.0.1 with my Apple camera. Everything about me is dated!

128MB hard drive, 4MB memory and a floppy!

After using the new MBP at my Apple store today and using my 2011 MBP when i got home i really did not notice a lot of difference it their speeds of getting web pages.
I sure noticed the stronger body on my 2011 MBP compared to the body of the new MBP, and mine sure weighs a lot more.

Now that is being dated. :)
