never sure which area to post!!
Cant seem to login to icloud.ca
and maybe i have posted this before can't remember!

When on icloud.com and was prompted to enter apple id and pw…so I did and just a spinning wheel comes
Then after a bit…another prompt to enter apple id and pw.
seems to be looking or is stuck.

My appleID is correct and so is my password… I use on all my devices just fine.

I guess I just need to know why I cannot view my folders on icloud.
And how I can fix this….anyone can help??
I can view photos, emails and message and contacts just fine on all my devices tho some lag in timing not an issue
and isn't that what iCloud is supposed to do??

What I did:
Apple menu, system preferences, icloud…. on macbook, did not need to sign in
Brings up list for icloud drive, photos, mail, contacts, calendars and safari which all have check
Beside them except photos which has a dash….click on options and only photo stream checked.

A few weeks ago I got a message saying my icloud account was full and I was not going to purchase more space….
So I did some work deleting some videos etc. changed some settings so a lot of stuff does not go to icloud.
And I still don’t fully understand what goes on with icloud.
am sure my issue is due to something changed in settings!!! but until I understand enough I am in a bind.
I don't want my iCloud account to keep filling up

I tried to logon to icloud.com to see what was there and ran into problem in beginning of this post. I do backups regularly and get frustrated with icloud!!!

Venting….I can and do read all about icloud etc on the net and from various sites but still do not get what would be best for me. Guess I will have to visit a tech person who can work with me personally.

We are only given 5GB of free space on iCloud which can fill up fast. The most likely culprits are photos and videos. If you need to use iCloud for those, buying extra space is a good idea. It's not like it's expensive since you can purchase 50GB for 99 cents a month. That's less than a cup of Starbucks. :)

Thanks... I don’t often use up much of my 5gb allowed for iCloud. And it was photos and videos I took on a bus trip.
The cost of extra storage is not the issue....it’s the principle.

I did change to no iCloud backups on my iPhone& iPad. Not sure how to change in settings in MacBook. Don’t need iCloud always backing up on my MacBook which only has 120gb internal storage.
Don’t know if that has any relation to my problem.

At this point, I can access files from all my devices and I do backups regularly and have copies of important files on external drives.
So don’t think I need iCloud backups at all.
Just use iCloud so I can access files from all devices.
Once I understand a bit more ! I may use iCloud to its fullest!
