Comparing Mid-2012 MBP with new model

I currently have been using the Mid-2012 Macbook Pro 15" for work (2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB ram). I'm pretty satisfied with the performance, having used the machine daily for over 5 years. I'll be replacing this one with the newer model, the space-grey with the touchbar. All the specs are similar except for this one is 2.2 GHz.

I'm using design software like Sketch and web technology like node.js. The 2.6 GHz vs 2.2 GHz had me wondering if this is going to be an expensive downgrade. Should I anticipate a performance difference between what I have now and what I will be using?

Need to mention a few things.

- A 2018 MacBook Pro is 6 years newer than a mid-2012 MacBook Pro (no surprise there). But realize that Apple usually once/year releases a new model. And with that new model there are generally improvements. Add these improvements up over 6 years...and a 2018 MacBook Pro will way out perform a 2012 model.
- Can't just compare the "gigahertz" (2.6Ghz vs 2.2 Ghz)...that doesn't tell the whole story by a long shot.
- Improvements in CPU's.
- Improvements in graphics hardware.
- New logic board designs.

Long story short. A mid-2012 15" 2.6Ghz MacBook Pro had 4 cores and a CPU benchmark of 12675. A 2018 15" 2.2Ghz MacBook pro has 6 cores and a CPU benchmark score of 22,084.

As you can see...22,084 is larger/faster than 12,675.
