When selling broken computers…it's always very difficult to determine what a fair value is.
You can bet absolutely…if the MacBook Pro was disassembled & the good parts sold one at a time (display, bottom case, top case, trackpad, fans, speakers, ram, mag-safe board, battery, etc.)…these would probably fetch more than $200. But then you need to spend all the extra effort (and time) to sell everything.
The battery (if good), display, and trackpad by themselves would almost certainly sell for more than $200. If the mag-safe charger is also included in this $200 sale…that's easily $40 bucks right there.
You can try checking eBay's sold listings to see what similar vintage broken MacBook Pro's have sold for. This is really the best reference you can use.

Hey thanks for all the help! To you and everyone else who posted!
I ended up selling it without the ssd.
Really helpful forum. I'll definitely return and hopefully I can pay it back.
