Hi,

I have just bought new MacBook Pro (Retina, i7-2.5, 16gb ram, ATI R9 x370 video) and checked how it runs in some games. Using just a macbook without external screen at 1400x900 resolution I didn't find a troubles, but with external FullHD Acer 23" monitor I had horrible lags.
The most interesting here is that my 5 years old laptop (i5-2.3, 8gb, nVidia 540m video) used same settings at the same monitor and runs just great without any lags.

There definitely something wrong..I checked a lot of forum topics, but didn't find any working solution. I tried to lid main screen, change display and power settings, but had no result..

What could be wrong? that is unbelievable actually.. top model, and doesn't work properly with simple tasks

Is this an Apple computer or a different manufacturer?

No suggestions? Can it happens because of HDMI port usage, not Thunderbolt?
