Hey, I am so encouraged....I have a 2013 Mac Air. I just had a stern talk with mine and let "her" know I would not find the above behavior acceptable. Sometimes you just have to be firm with them. ;D
Actually, back in the dark ages around 1985, I had just finished getting the farm account books finalized so I could start filling out tax forms. I went to bed, got up the next day and the computer had a hard drive read error and would not boot. I was furious to say the least. I picked up the desktop and slammed it down on the table. The thing reset and booted! Needless to say I did a complete backup and printed everything out I had.
So the shake (or drop) method of repairing a computer is a tried and true method... sometimes. If nothing else it releases frustration.
