Hi

I have an Apple Macbook Leopard 10.5, I'm trying to create a audio disc to showcase myself using GarageBand eg, I have a 17 track disc full of pre recorded backing tracks and all I'm basically looking to do is record my vocals to the tracks to present it as a showcase. Being fairly new to GB i was wondering if this is possible?

If you pop in the CD, then with iTunes, select the tracks, go to to advanced, select create AAC version. In iTunes, these new versions will be in recently added playlist.
Open Garage band, create a new project (I'd choose voice).
Create a new track in Garageband (real instrument), then drag the track you want (from recently added) from iTunes window to Garageband timeline next to (to the right of) the real instrument track.

BTW .... of course you will have to burn a new disc once you are done adding the vocals. To burn multiple songs to CD, you will need to send them all back to iTunes, where you can burn the playlist from there.
See iTunes help, "Creating your own audio CDs."
