Im sure its on here somewhere but can't seem to locate it.

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro and am giving my Macbook to my wife who is using my old iBook. I want to transfer all of here iBook info onto the Macbook and then we will get rid of the iBook.

Looking for a solution. I do have a few external HD if needed.

Thanks!

You haven't given us any info on the OS on either machine.
If the iBook is running Leopard, and the Macbook is running Leopard or later, you can use time machine, otherwise, if it's running an earlier OS, you really need to transfer manually. It isn't that tricky... just need to drag the documents, pictures and music the to an external drive, and then drag them to Macbook.
As for the Apps, it is a drag and drop thing again for some, and for some such as Office, installing off the install discs.
Depending on the OS's, and the versions of certain apps there may be compatibility issues due to different OS's and processors.

That's easy then :)
Time machine to backup the iBook onto an Ext HD.
You can use migration assistant to transfer to the Macbook (Applications/Utilities), but I wouldn't go that way.
I would do a clean install on the Macbook.
Boot from the install disc (holding C while you boot).
Select language.
Go to utilities>disk utilities in the menu bar.
Select the drive and click the erase tab.
Name the HD (Macintosh HD) and format as mac os extended (journalled).
Click erase.
Quit disk utility.

You then have two options.
One is to go to utilities again and select restore from time machine backup, the other is to continue with the installation, and then at the end when prompted, restore from time machine backup.
The latter is the option I prefer.
