So im on my MacBook, playing WoW (sue me, its fun) and i get up to get a drink of water.

Out of habit i put it on my pillow which i have done several times. I come back and find that the cord in my charger (right next to the magnet) HAS PUT A HOLE IN MY PILLOW!

I had been having some trouble with it for the past few days including when i plug it in, it wont charge, but nothing to this scale.

Any clue on what happened?

Welcome to the Forum. If u have not been using a cap for the magnetic plug you could have picked up a small metal filing which could have shorted. Be thankful it did not catch fire - there is a pic of one on the internet that did catch fire.

I never thought of that. However, it was not on the magnetic connector, it was about 1 centimeter away from it. Bend the cord and where the corner is made, that is what burned a hole in my pillow.

Thanks for the welcome!
