Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if you get dvi to hdmi adapter for a macbook, will the audio sync through the hdmi as the hdmi on my tv does not have an audio in port. Can anyone verify this?

Cheers

No, DVI does not carry audio. HDMI can not put audio where none exists.

Would you suggest a dvi to vga and using a 3.5mm cable with vga cable?

I do not personally make any recommendations without knowing some specific info.

See here.

Edit: you can also open the owner's manual for your TV and look through the connections section to see if it lists connecting a DVI device to the TV. If it does, it will also tell you how to get the audio.
