When I wake my new MBP out of sleep mode it requires me to log back in with my password and I find that applications that were open or running have quit. For example I am currently running Time Machine for the first time which will take about an hour, but when the computer goes to sleep it is closing the process down. If any other applications were open (eg: Microsoft Excel), I am getting an error message that they closed down.
