oops!!!

By accident i've throw away my ddocuments folder and empty the trash can... i've run norton unerase but on the list I've didn't reconize any of my lost files. I'm runing on OSX as administrator, needing urgently help. My life is on that folder.

I concur with Graphite, I believe you are out of luck.

It is very important in a UNIX environment to back up
your data. In the years that I have been working in the
UNIX environment I have not ran in to any file recovery
systems, other than back ups. Only something like
drive savers, may be able to help you now,
but they can are very expensive.

when you delete something, it tells your drive nothing is there but sometimes still is until you write data over it. i have no idea how you could tell if its really gone, but drive savers have a way to find stuff like that, but as rman mentioned is probably pricey
